Framing

Per-project framing scope, structural notes, ceiling heights, exceptions.

Framing is default: per-project. The bones of the building are typically shared across every unit.

Stage

Structural.

Default groups

  • Framing (single group with starter items)

Standard columns

Framing has no extra structured columns, it relies on the Item name, Notes, and Classification to capture the scope. Use custom columns if your team needs more structure.

Default starter items

  • Master Ensuite, Zero Entry Shower Base (standard)
  • Powder Room Ceiling, Please bring it down to 9ft (standard)
  • Shampoo Cubbies, Put cubbies on Master Ensuite and Powder Room (not standard)
  • Upper and Basement Floors, Swap floor height and interior door heights between upper and basement (standard)
  • All Closet Doors, Changed to Pocket Doors (standard)

These appear in every fresh framing sheet so the team has a baseline of common framing exceptions to confirm.

Tips

  • Treat each row as one structural exception or note for the framers.
  • Use classifications to flag what's standard vs not, the framers can scan for non-standard items.
  • For multi-building developments where framing differs per unit, convert to per-unit.
