Appearance
Light and dark themes, where the toggle lives, what it affects.
The app and the docs site both support a light theme and a dark theme. The default is System, which follows your operating system's preference.
Three states
- Light, always light regardless of OS.
- Dark, always dark regardless of OS.
- System (default), mirrors the OS preference. Flips automatically when your OS does (e.g. macOS auto-switching at sunset).
Where the toggle lives
- App: sidebar footer, Sun/Moon icon. Click to cycle through Light → Dark → System.
- Docs site: sidebar footer too, next to the Powered by Miivo credit. Same three-state cycle.
The two are independent, your app theme and your docs theme can differ. Both are remembered per browser.
Persistence
Your choice is stored in your browser's local storage. Different browsers (or browser profiles) each get their own setting. Clearing site data resets to System.
What it affects
Only colours. There are no layout differences between Light and Dark.
Exports are unaffected. Excel exports, PDF exports, and the public share link view always render in their fixed export styling, regardless of your current theme. So someone viewing a share link on their phone in dark mode still sees the same crisp page you'd see in light mode.
