Comments and history
Inline comments on items, and the per-item change history.
The right rail of the sheet editor is a per-item discussion + history thread. Use it for back-and-forth between team members and to read the chronology of changes on a specific item.
Open the rail
Click any item row. The rail slides in on the right and shows that item's comments and history. Click another row to switch the rail to that item.

Add a comment
Click the item row.
Type into the comment box at the bottom of the rail.
Press Cmd/Ctrl+Enter or click Comment to send.
Comments are visible to everyone with workspace access. They are not embedded in customer-facing exports, they live entirely inside the workspace.
Editing or deleting a comment
You can edit or delete your own comments via the menu on each comment. Other people's comments are read-only, to revise their meaning, post a new comment that supersedes theirs.
Change history
The history thread shows every meaningful edit to the item, in chronological order:
- Field changes (which field, from what to what)
- Attachment uploads and removals
- Comments
- Locking / completion events that affected the item
Each entry shows the user, the timestamp, and (for locked-sheet edits) the change reason.

If something belongs in the customer's hands, write it as a note. If it's an internal back-and-forth, comment.
Notifications
There are no email notifications on comments. They're a within-workspace tool, your team needs to be checking the rail, not waiting for a ping.
