GuidesSharing & export
Public preview
What an external viewer sees when they open a share link.
The public preview is what loads when someone opens your share link. It's a read-only view of the project, same data, no edit affordances, no admin actions.
What's visible
- The project header, name, lot, address, customer name.
- The unit tabs.
- Every category sheet that's marked customer-shown (the default for most sheets).
- All items, classifications, notes, attribute values, and attached images.
- Any decision-maker notes the team has written.
What's hidden
- Sheets explicitly marked not customer-shown (toggleable per sheet from the sheet header).
- Internal comments and item-level history threads.
- Audit log entries.
- The change reason text on individual edits, viewers see the current value, not the change record.
- Workspace navigation, members, catalogue management, settings.

Downloads
Whether the Download Excel button appears depends on the share link's permissions. If the toggle was off when the link was created (or after editing), no button.
What viewers can't do
- Sign in or create an account.
- Edit anything.
- Comment.
- Access other projects.
- See the workspace's other share links.
When the link is revoked or expired
The viewer sees a generic not available page, no project details leak, no exports are accessible.
Tips
- Use the not customer-shown toggle on internal-only sheets you want to keep out of the customer's view.
- The public preview reflects the project's current state. If you want to send a snapshot, export the workbook and send the file instead.
