My invite email never arrived
When a new member doesn't receive the invitation email.
Invitation emails almost always arrive within a minute. If they don't, try this checklist in order.
Check the email address
Open the workspace's Members page and find the pending invitation. Confirm the email address is exactly right, typos are by far the most common cause. If it's wrong, revoke the invite and send a new one to the correct address.
Check spam / promotions
Invitation emails are transactional but spam filters sometimes catch them. Have the recipient check:
- Spam / Junk folder
- Promotions tab (Gmail)
- Quarantine (corporate inboxes)
If they find it, marking it "Not spam" / "Not junk" usually helps future emails arrive in the inbox.
Resend
From the Members → Pending invitations list, click Resend on the invitation. This generates a fresh email, useful if the first one got lost or auto-deleted.
Corporate filter blocking
Some corporate email systems aggressively filter messages from new senders. If multiple resends don't arrive:
- Have the recipient ask their IT to allow-list the sending domain.
- As a workaround, send the recipient the accept link directly if you can pull it from the workspace (admin-only operation; ask the Miivo team if not surfaced).
Wrong email provider
Occasionally a recipient mishears their email or uses one address verbally and another in writing. Confirm the exact address before resending again.
Still nothing
If the recipient confirms the address is right, has checked spam, and resends aren't arriving, contact the Miivo team. They can confirm whether the email was sent successfully and whether it bounced.
Audit
Invitation send / resend / revoke / accept events are all in the audit log.
